Corn sugar, or dextrose is the classic sugar used in making beer. It gives a consistent carbonation without greatly affecting flavor. Use it at a rate of 1KG for 23 Liters of beer and 200g for priming bottles. Corn sugar tends to lighten body and dry out beers, so it can be used to up alcohol content in lighter-colored beer styles such as cream ales, pale ales and IPAs without adding to body or mouthfeel.
